26 Innovations Recognised at the Bangladesh Fintech Awards

A total of 26 fintech innovations and solutions were celebrated at the Bangladesh Fintech Awards held yesterday, showcasing the rapid development of the country’s fintech sector. The awards ceremony, hosted at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka, recognised outstanding contributions to the financial technology landscape in Bangladesh.

The third edition of the Bangladesh Fintech Awards honoured 26 innovative fintech solutions across 14 categories at a ceremony in Dhaka.

Among the recipients, 12 innovations received honourable mentions, highlighting the diversity and ambition of Bangladesh’s fast-growing fintech industry, according to a press release from the event organisers.

The award programme, initiated by the Bangladesh Fintech Forum and organised by the Bangladesh Brand Forum, acknowledged the pioneering initiatives that are driving the transformation of the nation’s financial services.

In his address, Ahsan H Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, said, “Bangladesh’s fintech sector is entering a defining phase in its journey. As digital services continue to evolve, it is crucial that innovation is inclusive, secure, and purpose-driven. The initiatives recognised tonight embody the leadership and commitment needed to build a robust, efficient, and future-ready financial ecosystem.”

This year, a total of 301 submissions were received, which were evaluated through several jury sessions, including four grand jury rounds conducted by 13 esteemed experts from the banking and finance industries.

Shariful Islam, founder and managing director of the Bangladesh Brand Forum, noted that the awards aim to accelerate innovation and foster greater collaboration within the fintech sector.

Earlier in the day, the 5th Bangladesh Fintech Summit 2025 took place, bringing together policymakers, bankers, and fintech leaders to discuss the future of financial technology in the country.
