Prime Bank PLC, in collaboration with Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), recently organised an enlightening seminar titled “Financial Inclusion: Engaging & Inspiring Youth in Banking” as part of its flagship initiative, PrimeAcademia.
The seminar was met with enthusiastic participation from faculty members, senior officials, and students alike. It was aimed at encouraging young minds to align their aspirations with financial inclusion and national development, inspiring them to become active contributors to the country’s economic growth.
The Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Agricultural University, AK Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan, graced the event as the Chief Guest, as highlighted in a press release.
The seminar stressed the importance of collaboration between academia and industry, with both Prime Bank and BAU reaffirming their commitment to strengthening this partnership. Through student-centric initiatives, research collaborations, and skill development programs, both institutions are actively working towards fostering a brighter future for young students.
The session was conducted by Syed Sazzad Haider Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director of Prime Bank, alongside Shaila Abedin, Senior Vice-President and Head of Liability, and MM Mahbub Hasan, Head of Financial Inclusion and School Banking. Together, they encouraged the students to view knowledge, innovation, and empathy as key drivers of both personal development and national progress.
As part of its PrimeAcademia platform, Prime Bank is offering a comprehensive range of financial services to educational institutions across the country. These services include institutional banking, digital fee collection systems, payroll services, school banking, and customized student accounts, all integrated under a single umbrella.
The event was also attended by several distinguished figures, including Prof. Md Abdul Alim, Proctor of the University; Prof. Muhammad Shahidul Haque, Adviser; M Asaduzzaman Sarker, Professor of the Department of Agricultural Extension Education; and Prof. Shonia Sheheli, President of Team Utshob, among others.
