New Ambulance Donated by Midland Bank to Anjuman Mufidul Islam

Midland Bank Limited has donated a fully equipped ambulance to Anjuman Mufidul Islam, one of Dhaka’s most respected voluntary welfare organisations. The contribution, made through the bank’s Islamic Banking Compensation Fund, underscores its commitment to advancing social responsibility and supporting essential public services.

Anjuman Mufidul Islam has long been recognised for its humanitarian work, providing free ambulance services for patients, as well as dignified transport for deceased persons across Dhaka. The organisation also conducts a wide range of charitable activities, including distributing food, offering medical support, and assisting vulnerable families during emergencies. The addition of a new ambulance is expected to significantly strengthen its operational capacity.

Handover Ceremony at Midland Bank Head Office

The official handover took place on Thursday, 4 December, at Midland Bank’s head office.
Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Midland Bank, presented the ambulance keys to Mohammad Azim Bakhsh and Alhaj Mohammad Aslam, both Trustees and Vice Presidents of Anjuman Mufidul Islam.

In his remarks, the CEO highlighted the bank’s ongoing dedication to supporting community welfare initiatives, particularly in healthcare and emergency services. He noted that providing an ambulance to such a reputable organisation not only contributes to immediate public benefit but also aligns with the bank’s broader values of compassion, service, and responsible corporate citizenship.

The ceremony was attended by several senior officials from Midland Bank, reflecting the institution’s collective commitment to meaningful social impact. Among them were:
