NCC Bank has introduced a groundbreaking digital service, allowing customers to pay 206 types of government fees—ranging from passport fees, income tax, VAT, customs duties, to surcharges—via its online A-Chalan platform. This new service falls under the bank’s transaction banking and cash management division.
From now on, customers can pay these fees from anywhere, at any time, through the bank’s internet banking platform, according to a press release. The service was officially launched during a ceremony at the bank’s head office in Motijheel.
The event was attended by Managing Director M. Shamsul Arefin, Additional Managing Director M. Khurshed Alam, Deputy Managing Directors Md. Zakir Anam, Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Md. Monirul Alam & Md. Habibur Rahman; EVP & Head of Corporate Banking Mohammad Tariqul Amin; EVP & Head of Operations Saif Uddin Ahmed; SVP & Head of SME Sharif Mohammad Mahsin; SVP & Head of ICT Division Md. Sajjadul Islam; SVP & Head of Transaction Banking & Cash Management Division Shahin Akter Nuha; VP & Head of Financial Inclusion Cell Md. Anisur Rahman Majumder, along with other senior officials of the bank.
At the event, Managing Director M. Shamsul Arefin said, “The launch of the government fee payment service through the online A-Chalan platform is a unique milestone for NCC Bank in the digital banking space. It will make these processes highly time-saving and convenient for customers, while also simplifying the government’s revenue collection process. This service is a reflection of our continuous efforts to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.”
It is important to note that the existing over-the-counter payment facility under Bangladesh Bank’s Automated Challan System will continue to operate as before.
