AB Bank PLC has officially inaugurated a new collection booth at Mirpur BCIC College, aiming to provide a wide range of modern banking services to the institution’s community, according to a press release.
The booth, which will operate under the bank’s Mirpur branch, is designed to facilitate all types of financial collections for the college. Additionally, it will offer payroll services to the college’s teachers and staff.
Syed Mizanur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO of AB Bank, along with Colonel Md Tauhidul Islam, Principal of Mirpur BCIC College, jointly inaugurated the new facility.
Also present at the inauguration were Md Zakir Hossain Talukder, Vice Principal of Mirpur BCIC College; Taufiq Hassan, Head of Retail Banking Division at AB Bank; Feeda Hasan Shahed, Head of Payroll & School Banking at AB Bank; Md Arifuzzaman, Manager of AB Bank’s Mirpur Branch; and other senior officials from both institutions.
According to a press release issued by the bank, the newly launched collection booth will operate under AB Bank’s Mirpur branch and will be responsible for handling a wide range of financial transactions related to the college. These include various types of collections, making it easier for the institution to manage its financial operations within a secure and structured banking framework.
The inauguration ceremony was jointly conducted by Syed Mizanur Rahman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AB Bank PLC, and Colonel Md Tauhidul Islam, Principal of Mirpur BCIC College. Their presence at the event highlighted the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and the banking sector in promoting financial efficiency and transparency.
In addition to handling institutional collections, the booth will also provide payroll services for the college’s teachers and staff. This feature is expected to streamline salary disbursement, reduce manual processing, and ensure timely payments. By integrating payroll services within the campus, AB Bank aims to improve convenience while minimizing administrative burdens for the college authorities.
