NCC Bank Celebrates Financial Literacy Day 2026

In a bid to strengthen financial inclusion nationwide, NCC Bank observed Financial Literacy Day 2026 under the theme “Let Safe Cashless Transactions Begin with Financial Literacy”, according to an official press release. The observance underscores the bank’s commitment to promoting responsible, secure, and technologically advanced banking practices.

The bank’s Financial Inclusion Cell organised a discussion session at its Head Office, conducted via a digital platform to ensure broad participation. The session brought together key executives, including Managing Director M. Shamsul Arefin, Deputy Managing Director Md. Habibur Rahman, SVP & Head of ICT Md. Sajjadul Islam, Head of Financial Inclusion Cell Md. Anisur Rahman Majumder, and Head of Retail Banking Unit S. M. Tanvir Hasan, alongside all branch managers.

Addressing attendees, Managing Director M. Shamsul Arefin highlighted the critical role of digital literacy in today’s fast-evolving financial landscape. He stressed that enhancing digital capabilities and ensuring secure transactions are foundational to comprehensive financial literacy. Emphasising the benefits of cashless and paperless banking, he noted that these practices contribute to a safer, more efficient financial ecosystem.

To drive adoption of digital solutions, he encouraged branch managers to actively promote the bank’s flagship services, including the “NCC Always App” and “Bangla QR Code”, while motivating customers to embrace secure digital platforms. He further emphasised the importance of raising awareness about the risks and hidden costs associated with traditional cash transactions and educating customers on the convenience, transparency, and safety of digital banking.

The session concluded with strategic guidance from the Managing Director on the continued expansion of customer-centric digital services, reaffirming NCC Bank’s commitment to innovation and responsible banking practices. By integrating financial literacy with digital solutions, the bank aims to empower customers, improve accessibility, and foster an inclusive financial environment across the country.
