ONE Bank Hosts Inspiring ‘Town Hall Meet 2025’ in Dhaka

ONE Bank PLC recently convened its annual Town Hall Meet 2025 in the bustling commercial district of Gulshan, Dhaka, uniting staff and leadership from every corner of the country. Held under the motivational theme “Together We Rise as ONE – Transform to Lead, Drive to Excel,” the event served as an important platform for charting the bank’s strategic priorities for the coming year while fostering a renewed sense of unity and purpose among employees.

The programme was formally inaugurated by ASM Shahidullah Khan, chairman of ONE Bank PLC, who attended as the chief guest. In his opening address, Khan reaffirmed the board’s firm confidence in the bank’s newly appointed leadership team. He emphasised the growing need for robust governance, stronger performance discipline, and a swift but sustainable strategic transformation to keep pace with the evolving financial ecosystem of Bangladesh. Khan also highlighted the bank’s commitment to responsible banking and customer-centric innovation, urging the workforce to embrace change with professionalism and ethical dedication.

The event was conducted by Muhit Rahman, the newly appointed managing director of ONE Bank PLC. According to the bank’s official press release, Rahman used the occasion to present his comprehensive strategic vision for the institution’s future. His roadmap underscored disciplined execution, operational excellence, digital innovation, and enhanced collaboration across departments as the pillars of ONE Bank’s onward journey.

Rahman elaborated on several priority areas for 2025, including the expansion of digital banking services, improved service delivery across branches, and the adoption of modern technological frameworks to streamline operations. He encouraged all attending managers and executives to align their efforts with the bank’s evolving strategic direction, describing 2025 as a year of transformation and collective advancement. He concluded his speech with an empowering call to action: “Together as ONE,” a message that resonated strongly throughout the hall.

The gathering was attended by key figures from the bank’s leadership structure, including Zahur Ullah, chairman of the executive committee; retired Chief of Naval Staff and independent director Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury; senior management; divisional and business heads; and branch managers from across the country. Their presence underscored the significance of the event as a catalyst for organisational cohesion and shared ambition.
