ONE Bank PLC has been awarded an internationally recognised ISO certification by the France-based certification authority Bureau Veritas (Bangladesh) Pvt Ltd, in recognition of meeting the standards for an Information Security Management System (ISMS).

The ISO standard specifies requirements for establishing, implementing, and maintaining an effective ISMS. Bureau Veritas (Bangladesh) conducted a thorough audit of ONE Bank’s IT operations, data centre, and disaster recovery site to verify compliance with the ISO/IEC standards.

Sohel Azad, Country Manager of Bureau Veritas (Bangladesh) Pvt Ltd, presented the certificate to Shabbir Ahmed, Managing Director (current charge) of ONE Bank PLC, at the bank’s corporate headquarters recently, according to a press release.

ONE Bank has maintained ISO certification since 2022, demonstrating its continued commitment to robust information security practices.

The ceremony was attended by John Sarkar, Adviser of ONE Securities Limited, a subsidiary of ONE Bank; Md Anwarul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Legal Affairs and Recovery Division; and other senior officials from ONE Bank, iota, and Bureau Veritas.
