Prime Bank Hosts Training Programme for Women Entrepreneurs in Chattogram

Prime Bank has organised a training programme in Chattogram aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs and promoting sustainable growth in the SME sector.

Prime Bank PLC recently hosted the “Prime Neera-SME Women Entrepreneurs Training and Development Programme” at Hotel Agrabad in Chattogram. The event brought together over 130 women entrepreneurs from Prime Bank as well as members of the Chattogram Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CWCCI).

The Neera initiative by Prime Bank is specifically designed to support financial inclusion and promote sustainable business growth for women entrepreneurs across the country. Through this programme, the bank aims to provide women with the tools and knowledge to enhance their business capabilities and expand their reach.

The primary objective of the training was to improve the participants’ skills in business management, financial planning, and market expansion strategies. Additionally, the programme encouraged women entrepreneurs to take a more proactive role in the SME sector, fostering confidence and growth in their businesses.

Sarker Mehedi Reza, the Regional Head for Chattogram at Prime Bank PLC, presided over the programme, according to a press release.

Abida Mustafa, President of the Chattogram Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended the event as a special guest.

The speakers highlighted key themes such as women’s empowerment, business development, and the importance of leveraging digital banking services to help grow their businesses and access new markets.

Also in attendance were Sheikh Nur Alam, Head of Small Business and Refinance at Prime Bank; Fatema Akter Naz, Business Development Manager; and branch managers from various Prime Bank branches across the Chattogram region.

The event underscored Prime Bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting the growth of women-led businesses in the region and fostering economic empowerment.
