Today, Tuesday, marks the third working day of the week, with transactions taking place in the country’s currency market. The exchange rate of the US dollar remains unchanged today. After several days of rising dollar prices, the rate has remained stable for the past two days.
According to Bangladesh Bank’s data, the highest exchange rate for the dollar today is 122.58 Taka, and the lowest is 122.52 Taka. The average rate for the dollar today is 122.54 Taka. Since July this year, the dollar’s price has been fluctuating.
No currency in the domestic market has seen a decrease in value today. Among the currencies that have appreciated are the Euro, Pound, Indian Rupee, Australian Dollar, and Singapore Dollar. The values of the Chinese Yuan and Japanese Yen have remained unchanged.
In the open market, foreign currencies are generally sold at a slightly higher price than the rates published by the central bank. The fluctuations in foreign exchange rates also influence the cost of business and trade in the country.
