Today’s Exchange Rates

Today, Wednesday, the fourth working day of the week, trading continues in the country’s currency market. Although the dollar’s value had risen over the past two days, it has declined today. According to information from Bangladesh Bank, the dollar’s highest rate today reached 122.42 Taka, while the lowest was 122.32 Taka, with an average rate of 122.39 Taka.

From July until the current month of October, the dollar’s rate has been fluctuating. Today, the country’s currency market exhibits a mixed trend. Among the major currencies, the value of the Chinese Yuan, Australian Dollar, and Singapore Dollar has increased. The rates of the Indian Rupee and Japanese Yen remain unchanged. In contrast, the Euro and British Pound have fallen.

In the open market, foreign currencies are sold at slightly higher rates than those published by the central bank. Fluctuations in foreign exchange rates also influence the costs of domestic trade and business activities.
