Trust Bank Unveils Smart Banking Hub

Trust Bank PLC has taken a significant step forward in Bangladesh’s evolving financial landscape by launching an innovative Smart Point alongside the country’s first Smart Teller Machine (STM). The Smart Point, inaugurated at SKS Tower in Mohakhali, was officially opened by the Chairman of Trust Bank PLC and Chief of Army Staff, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, who attended the ceremony as the chief guest. The event also brought together the bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, members of the board, senior officials of the Bangladesh Army, and top executives from the bank’s head office.

Designed as a modern digital banking hub, the Smart Point integrates cutting-edge machines such as the Smart Teller Machine (STM) and Cash Recycling Machine (CRM). These technologies enable customers to access a comprehensive suite of banking services swiftly and efficiently, reducing dependence on traditional branch-based interactions.

The STM, introduced for the first time in Bangladesh, is a notable innovation. It allows customers to open bank accounts instantly and receive debit cards on the spot—an advancement that significantly shortens processing times and improves user experience. In addition, customers can withdraw and deposit cash, request loans, generate account statements, and perform a wide range of other financial transactions without the assistance of bank staff.
