United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) has inaugurated a new branch in Hajiganj, Chandpur, today. The branch was formally opened by Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, the bank’s Managing Director and CEO, who attended the event as the chief guest.

In his address, Rashid highlighted UCB’s long-standing reputation for reliability, stating, “In the history of UCB, not a single cheque has ever bounced, and not a single transaction has been delayed, even for a moment. This reflects our professionalism and commitment to service excellence.”

He further shared the bank’s remarkable growth figures, stating, “In just the first nine months of this year, UCB achieved a net deposit growth of over Tk 10,100 crore and added more than 5.5 lakh new accounts. This remarkable achievement reflects the unwavering trust and confidence that our customers place in us.”

Rashid also introduced the Hajiganj branch team, expressing gratitude for their dedication and hard work. “It’s a pleasure to be in the historic district of Chandpur, particularly in Hajiganj,” he said. “Once, this area was a major trading hub, and today, Chandpur continues to be one of the top districts in Bangladesh for remittance receipts, ranking ninth nationally. UCB is committed to providing the finest banking services to the people of Hajiganj, ensuring they receive the dignity, service, and trust they deserve.”

The inauguration event was attended by UCB’s senior leadership, including Md Ridwanul Hoque, Head of Distribution and Strategy; Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman, Head of Retail Business Division; and Zeeshan Kingshuk Huq, Chief Communication Officer, alongside local business leaders and staff from both UCB’s Hajiganj branch and head office.
