Up to Tk 1 Million Loan for Language Courses Abroad

Probashi Kallyan Bank has announced a new loan programme aimed at the skill development of students and workers wishing to go abroad. Under this programme, candidates can avail loan assistance ranging from 1 lakh to 10 lakh Taka to undergo language education and acquire various technical skills abroad. There is no alternative to skills for surviving in the current global market, and keeping this in mind, the bank has set its slogan as, ‘Skills are valued worldwide, knowing a language increases opportunities.’ Through this loan, training opportunities will be created specifically in countries like Japan, Germany, South Korea, Italy, and Russia.

In this context, Fahim Mashroor, Chief Executive of BDJobs, stated that currently, a large number of graduates are emerging from the country, but many of them are not getting desired jobs abroad due to a lack of proper skills. They are forced to engage in labour-level work. He believes that if students can undergo proper training and language education upon going abroad, their path to higher income will be paved. This loan facility from Probashi Kallyan Bank will be helpful in achieving that goal. The tenure of the loan has been set from two to five years, and the interest rate is fixed at 11 per cent, which may change based on the situation.

To be eligible for the loan, the applicant’s age must be a maximum of 40 years, and they must be a local permanent resident. Additionally, the applicant must demonstrate an offer letter or confirmation letter for admission from an institution in the relevant country and a certificate of minimum intermediate-level language proficiency. This loan will be provided for short-term courses with a maximum duration of two years. To keep the loan application process transparent, the bank authorities have stated that applications will not be accepted through any agents.
