Visakhapatnam: The 20th Triennial National Conference of the Canara Bank Officers Association commenced in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. The association, which boasts a membership of 50,000, is led by General Secretary K. Ravikumar. The inaugural ceremony was graced by K. Satyanarayana Raju, Managing Director and CEO of Canara Bank, who attended as the chief guest.
In his address, Satyanarayana Raju highlighted the significant role Canara Bank, one of the largest public sector banks in India, plays in the nation’s progress. He praised the contributions of the association’s members in driving the bank’s development. He noted that the efforts of bank officers across the country, under the leadership of K. Ravikumar, were making a substantial and positive impact on the country’s growth.
To mark the occasion, a book chronicling the life and rise of Satyanarayana Raju was released by his mother, Rama Seetha, during the event.
General Secretary K. Ravikumar, in his speech, emphasised the strength that lies in the unity of bank officers nationwide. “We will move forward with the resolution to address the issues faced by bank officers, with unity as our guiding principle and the economic development of the country as our ultimate goal. We are committed to aligning with the bank’s guidelines to contribute to India’s ambition of achieving a five trillion economy, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he stated.
The event saw participation from a range of dignitaries, including Hardeep Singh Ahluwalia, the bank’s Executive Director, Vijayawada Circle General Manager Vijayalakshmi, Committee Chairman Rama Prasad, along with various association representatives and officials from across the country.
