Mercantile Bank PLC has held the certificate awarding and closing ceremony for its month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme, organised under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (SICIP).
The initiative—financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), supervised by Bangladesh Bank, and implemented by the Ministry of Finance—took place at the Technical Training Centre in Jalkuri, Narayanganj.
According to a press release, Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, attended the ceremony as the chief guest. Md Zahid Hossain, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business Officer of Mercantile Bank PLC, presided over the event.
During the ceremony, certificates, crests, and commemorative souvenirs were distributed among 25 entrepreneurs who successfully completed the intensive training programme. Following the formal proceedings, distinguished guests toured an exhibition featuring a variety of innovative products created by the participants, showcasing their newly acquired technical and business skills.
